i did it!!....i made a craft!!
FYI the blog it tells you to use a roll of LifeSavers, but I came to find that the rolls are extremely hard to find now!! They mostly sell the candy in the bags wrapped individually . Luckily, breath savers still uses the roll format.

New Family Fav
I've made this recipe twice now, and it is ALWAYS a huge hit. It's extremely easy, and a real crowd pleaser. You'll want to put it in your pot luck rotation!!
** I did not add the bacon though. But, I wonder how a couple of thinly sliced purple onions would be? Yum, next time.Recipe: Rachael Ray’s Barbecue Chicken Pizza
One morning — and I can’t remember when, but it was recently — Gina and I happened to be watching Rachael Ray’s talk show and she had a couple of women on competing in some sort of recipe contest. One lady was putting her white chicken chili up against the other’s barbecue chicken pizza.
Both of the recipes looked simple to make and tasty to eat so we grabbed them from the Rachael Ray web site. Since it’s too warm here for chili we decided to put the pizza into this week’s list of recipes. Tuesday night it got the call.
Our verdict, not bad. Gina said that as certain as she was that she wasn’t going to like it, she actually thought it was good. I did too. It didn’t taste like pizza, but a saucy barbecue chicken sandwich. That’s not a bad thing.
The ingredient list was short the way we made it. Crescent rolls for the crust. Sauce for the well, sauce. Pre-cooked chicken strips to go on top. Some real bacon bits from a jar and then a bag of cheese.
In terms of simplicity, putting this together couldn’t be much easier. The hardest part was baking the crust. Just do that according to package directions. Top the pizza with the sauce, chicken, bacon, and cheese. Stick it under the broiler for three or four minutes until the cheese melts and browns. Remove. Cut. Eat.
Here is an official list of what you’ll need and what you’ll need to do with it. The official Rachael Ray recipe is a bit different. This is our take. This is what it looks like before.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 tubes of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 1 1/2 cups of barbecue sauce
- 2 packages of pre-cooked chicken strips, chopped
- real bacon bits
- 2 cups 2% milk cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS
- Roll the crescent rolls out onto a cookie sheet. Pinch the sheets together. Bake about 10 minutes on 375 degrees until golden brown.
- Spread the sauce over dough. Add chicken, bacon, and cheese.
- Place under broiler for three or four minutes until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
And this is what it looked like after on my plate. Hate to say it, but I had a third piece.
We both were happy with the way the rolls worked as the crust. We went with the reduced fat crescent rolls and saved calories there. The cheese was also low fat so we saved there too.
After we ate we talked about a couple of ways to tweak the toppings. The only thing we didn’t get was the satisfaction of eating pizza. But we did enjoy this and there are plenty of leftovers. I have a feeling that variations on this recipe could be making some appearances here.

white chocolate marshmallow popcorn
White Chocolate and Marshmallow Popcorn.
I can't even tell you what a hit this was, I even heard people talking
about it the next day!
It's a perfect thing to bring to a party and
it's super easy!
Here are my own personal tips when making this recipe:
1. I usually melt chocolate on the stove, but when combining
marshmallows and chocolate I recommend the microwave!
2. Spray your large mixing bowl with Pam before hand
(clean-up was real sticky!)
3. Pick out all of the unpopped kernals that you can.
They are no fun to bite down on!
4. Drizzle melted milk chocolate over the top, it's just pretty.
I forgot to take a picture of mine, oops!

DIY
Here is my own personal craft process:
1. Find something adorable
2. Obsess over how cute it is for a couple of days
3. Tell all of my friends about it
4. Finally decide to go buy all of the materials for the project
5. Somehow involve my mother in the project (why? I don't know why.)
6. Put all materials for project into a cardboard box
7. Let that box sit on my laundry room floor for 6 months
8. Let the box get on my nerves for about more month
9. Finally put that box in the garage where it won't bug me anymore.
And Voila! Soon you will have a house full of unfinished crafts. It is quite the accomplishment.
Enough about me though, let me direct you to someone who does it 100X's better than me. Her name is Jill and she does all of those awesome crafts you've been dying to figure out. Plus, she puts the templates & tutorials on her blog (awesome).
Check out her diaper wipes clutch, diaper cake, vinyl bibs, tote bags, quiet books etc.
I'm lovin' the wipes clutch. I wonder how that would look in my garage............

crap pot
I went for the easiest recipe I could find. There were only 3 ingredients for heaven's sake!
1 Jar Spaghetti Sauce
1 Box Noodles
Cheese.
Layer the ingredients, turn on crock pot. Simple enough eh?
Well, my noodles were crunchy and seriously dry. I think I would've done a lot better opening a can of spaghetti o's. Perhaps if I had doubled the sauce and cooked in on low it would've worked better. Or, maybe I can just stick to what I know...............take out.
I'm still not giving up on the crock pot yet.

Mothers Day: For me it's a day of feeling the overwhelming love for my kids but, also the day that I feel the pressure of not being good enough. It sounds strange, but I'll tell you why. We receive adorable gifts from our kids filled with poetry hand prints and photos in the morning. Then, you are off to church. Let's be honest here, getting your family entirely ready for church by 9:00 is not only a struggle, but will put anyone in a less than cheery mood.
When I finally get settled in my seat I am then bombarded with speakers rambling about their "angel mom's". Then, I start worrying about what will happen if my children ever get asked to speak in church on Mother's Day. Will they say things like "My mom constantly called me a little turd", or "My mom threatened to send me to another family" etc.
That's why I am a new fan of this woman's blog: "The Meanest Mom". Not only is she a great writer but, in her day to day life she helps up remember that we can't all be "angel mom's" all the time. Sometimes we are just the Meanest Mom alive.

new do's
I know, goin' a little crazy with that hair right?!
Well come to find out there are TONS of fun blog from ladies doing fun stuff with their girls hair! They even give you step by step instructions!
But, here is my question: Do their girls hold on to their ears, scream bloody murder, wake up their babies, and give them anxiety attacks while doing their hair? If so, PLEASE someone post the remedy for that!
Anyway, I had to put up a whole new category on the side bar just for girls hairstyles. Now I have no more excuses for plain hair!
